Backyard Basics

Thursdays, 7-8 pm March 6-October 2

Classes will be held throughout spring and summer to help homeowners gain a better understanding of efficient gardening, landscaping, and living practices.  Classes with two dates will be repeated the following week, with the exception of the Landscape Design workshop in May, which requires participants to attend all four weeks.  Classes will be held at the Utah House.

Proper Pruning Practices

Focus on the four “W’s” of proper pruning;
why we prune, when to prune, what to prune
and where to prune.

A Glorious Garden

Address soil concerns, cool and warm season
crops, fertilizer needs, common pests and
diseases and best of all, how and when to harvest.

Do-It-Yourself Landscape Design

This four-week course is designed to educate
as well as motivate you to put your landscape
together right the first time.
May 8-29 (Four weeks)

Lord of the Lawn

Master the different factors influencing a
healthy lawn, such as water requirements,
fertilizer applications, and diagnosing
common insects and diseases of turfgrass.

season-long colors and texture to your landscape.
